Abstract

Efforts to strengthen the institutional management of sago MSMEs in Guraping Village, North Oba District, Tidore Islands City, with the aim of supporting local economic independence. The Guraping community has produced cassava-based sago as a local food and rice substitute, but the production is still individual or family-based, facing obstacles in institutional development and marketing. This study uses socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation methods to provide understanding, improve the management capabilities of MSME groups, and measure the effectiveness of the program. This community service activity involved 25 sago entrepreneurs and was supported by youth from the Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) and the village government. The results show that strengthening institutional management is very important to increase human resource capacity, optimize business governance, develop digital marketing skills, and understand financial records. The formation of a structured working group is expected to break technological isolation, reduce production costs, and improve the quality and quantity of sago processed products, thereby opening access to government and private assistance and encouraging business sustainability.
