Abstract

This community service program was initiated based on the need to strengthen children’s educational and religious development in rural areas as an effort to foster religious and social character from an early age. The program aimed to implement educational and spiritual guidance activities for children through collaboration with village authorities, elementary schools, and local religious teachers. The implementation method employed a participatory approach, including coordination with village officials, community socialization, teaching assistance at the elementary school, Islamic competitions, the Magrib Qur’anic learning program, and participation in congregational prayers. The results indicate a highly positive response from both the community and the school, reflected in the strong enthusiasm of children in participating in learning activities, religious competitions, and Qur’anic recitation sessions. The Magrib Qur’anic program was conducted effectively, involving children at both Iqra and Qur’an reading levels. Furthermore, the program fostered harmonious relationships between university students and the local community, strengthening social cohesion and religious values within the village. Overall, the program contributed to increasing children’s engagement in religious activities and enhancing collaborative partnerships between students and the village community.
