Penyuluhan Pembentukan Modal Sosial Kelurahan Sasa Kecamatan Ternate Selatan Kota Ternate

The community service activities carried out by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Khairun University, aim to analyze the role of social capital in overcoming the financial burden of social activities and empowering the community's economy through the formation of collective groups. The methods used in this community service activity were Action Research (Community Participation) and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The pre-concept process involved dialogue with the community regarding the formation of a Social Capital group, which was then followed up with the formation of a simple organization in RT 08. The activity was carried out on May 9, 2025, involving 50 participants from several RTs in Sasa Village. The results of this PKM activity successfully formed a group named “Kumpulan” in RT 08. This group functions as a collective forum for the procurement of assets (tables and zinc sheets) and the management of social activity costs (celebrations, weddings, tahlilan), which aims to reduce the financial burden caused by high rental and consumption costs. A simple organizational structure has been established (Head of RT 08, Secretary, Equipment Manager, etc.). Trust among residents, as a key element of social capital, is the basis for efficiency in cooperation
