Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) plays an important role in protecting workers from accidents and health risks in the workplace. Limited understanding and poor work discipline are major causes of workplace incidents, along with unmanaged environmental hazards. In healthcare facilities, the risk of disease exposure and occupational injuries increases when standard operating procedures (SOPs) and personal protective equipment (PPE) are not consistently applied. Therefore, improving OHS knowledge and skills through education and training for healthcare workers is essential. This program aims to: increase the knowledge and awareness of healthcare workers at the Asy-Syifa' Wuluhan Jember Clinic regarding proper OHS implementation; encourage safe and preventive practices in patient care; and support the creation of a safer and more professional work environment. The methods include assessing partner needs, developing training materials based on OHS regulations, delivering sessions through presentations and interactive discussions, and measuring participants’ understanding using pre- and post-tests. Support for SOP implementation is also provided to ensure sustainability. The expected outputs are improved participant scores in OHS knowledge, sustainable educational materials for the clinic, and a community service report for scientific publication. Through this program, healthcare workers at the Asy-Syifa' Clinic are expected to apply OHS principles effectively to reduce workplace accidents and promote a zero-accident culture.
