Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja dan Disiplin Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dengan Kepuasan Kerja sebagai Variabel Intervening

Employee performance is a crucial factor in determining organizational success and sustainability in an increasingly competitive business environment. Various organizational factors, particularly work motivation and work discipline, are considered to have significant influences on employee performance. However, the mechanism through which these factors affect performance, especially through job satisfaction as an intervening variable, has not been comprehensively examined. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data are collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees and analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings are expected to demonstrate that work motivation and work discipline have positive and significant effects on job satisfaction and employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction is expected to mediate the relationship between work motivation and work discipline with employee performance, indicating that motivated and disciplined employees are more likely to experience higher job satisfaction, which subsequently enhances their performance. The results of this study are expected to enrich the literature in human resource management, particularly regarding the mediating role of job satisfaction, and provide practical recommendations for organizations in developing effective human resource policies to improve employee performance and organizational competitiveness.
