The change in the energy industry landscape marked by the transition to New and Renewable Energy (NRE) and the acceleration of digital transformation require energy companies to develop strategies that can create sustainable competitive advantages. PT PLN (Persero) as the largest electricity provider in Indonesia faces opportunities and challenges from regulatory changes, technological developments, increased energy needs, and increasing competition in the green energy sector. This study aims to analyze the sustainable competitive advantage of PT PLN (Persero) facing the energy transition era through a strategic management approach. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design. Research data was obtained through documentation studies from company reports, government publications, and various relevant scientific literature. The analysis was carried out using PEST Analysis, Five Forces Model, Value Chain Analysis, Competitive Profile Matrix (CPM), SWOT Matrix, and other strategy formulation tools. PT PLN (Persero) has the main strengths in the form of an extensive national distribution network, government support, integrated infrastructure, and sustainable digital transformation. Companies face challenges in the form of increasing industrial competition, the threat of substitute energy, dependence on fossil energy, and the high need for technology investment. Strategies that support sustainable competitive advantage are accelerating the development of NRE, strengthening digital services, increasing innovation, and optimizing the company's strategic assets. The integration of digital transformation and energy transition is a key factor in maintaining the competitiveness of energy companies in an era of dynamic industrial change.
