Academic procrastination remains a major challenge among final-year students in the Management Study Program at Dian Nuswantoro University, particularly in completing their theses. This phenomenon is reflected in students’ tendency to postpone academic tasks and thesis-related activities until deadlines are approaching, which may hinder academic performance and delay graduation. This study aims to analyze the effects of academic stress, time management, and self-efficacy on academic procrastination among final-year students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a questionnaire distributed to 95 respondents selected from final-year students who were in the process of completing their theses. The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that academic stress has a significant positive effect on academic procrastination, meaning that higher levels of academic pressure tend to increase students’ procrastination behavior. In contrast, time management has a significant negative effect, suggesting that students with better time management skills are less likely to procrastinate. Meanwhile, self-efficacy was found to have no significant effect on academic procrastination. These findings imply that efforts to reduce academic procrastination should prioritize strategies for managing academic stress and strengthening students’ ability to organize and allocate their time effectively. Such efforts are expected to support the timely completion of theses and improve overall academic achievement among final-year students.
