Pengaruh Green Human Resource Management dan Employee Green Behavior terhadap Keberlanjutan Industri Perbankan di Kota Medan

This study aims to analyze the effect of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Employee Green Behavior (EGB) on the sustainability of the banking industry in Medan City. This study is motivated by the increasing demand for the banking sector to implement sustainability principles in operational activities. In the era of green economic transformation, banking companies are not only required to gain financial profits but also to pay attention to environmental and social aspects as part of long-term business strategies.This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 150 banking employees in Medan City. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The independent variables were Green Human Resource Management and Employee Green Behavior, while the dependent variable was banking industry sustainability. The results showed that Green Human Resource Management had a positive and significant effect on banking industry sustainability with a path coefficient value of 0.532 and a T-statistics value of 6.214. Employee Green Behavior also had a positive and significant effect on banking sustainability with a coefficient value of 0.417 and a T-statistics value of 4.982. Furthermore, Green Human Resource Management significantly improved Employee Green Behavior with a coefficient value of 0.782 and a T-statistics value of 11.425. This study indicates that environmentally based human resource policies are an important strategy in supporting the sustainability of the banking industry in Medan City.
