This study aims to analyze the wage system of micro workers in shallot processing and examine it from the perspective of Islamic economics. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at PT Widi Tani, Rugemuk Village, Pantai Labu District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review, and analyzed using interactive analysis techniques including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the wage system applied is based on a piece-rate (borongan) mechanism, where workers are paid according to output. While this system fulfills the principle of mutual consent (an-tarāḍin), several issues remain, such as lack of wage clarity at the beginning of the contract, limited transparency in workload, and unequal bargaining positions. From an Islamic economic perspective, the system is permissible (mubah), but it has not fully met the principles of justice (‘adl) and clarity, and still contains elements of gharar. Therefore, improvements are needed in contract clarity, transparency, and worker protection.
