Pengaruh Self-Control dan Literasi Ekonomi terhadap Perilaku Pembelian Impulsif Secara Online Bagi Mahasiswa Ekonomi Syariah

The development of technology and the internet has driven major changes in people's consumption patterns, including among students. Especially related to the increase in impulse buying behavior online. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-control and economic literacy on online impulse buying behavior in undergraduate students of Sharia Economics at State Islamic University Raden Fatah Palembang. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews with 6 active students, and reinforced by literature review and previous research. The results of the study show that self-control plays an important role in resisting digital desires and temptations when shopping. Meanwhile, economic literacy contributes to forming rational consumption patterns based on the principles of Islamic teachings. However, an understanding of economic literacy is not fully impactful if it is not accompanied by commitment, seriousness, and consistency in the practice of daily life. These results are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of impulse buying online and become input for character development and the ability of financial management of students in the current digital era.
