Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Work Overload and Job Insecurity on employee performance effectiveness at CV Zaitun Maha Lestari. Work Overload, which occurs when the workload exceeds employee capacity, and Job Insecurity, which reflects uncertainty regarding job continuity, both play important roles in influencing workplace performance. Based on observations and interviews with four informants, this study found that both factors negatively contribute to employee performance effectiveness, as seen in aspects of quantity, quality, timeliness, and teamwork. Work Overload decreases productivity, work quality, and causes delays in task completion. Meanwhile, Job Insecurity impacts work motivation, work quality and quantity, and interaction between employees, which affects teamwork. When these two factors occur together, they exacerbate work stress, which in turn reduces employee performance effectiveness at the company. The negative impacts arising from Work Overload and Job Insecurity indicate the need for companies to review workload management and create a more stable and supportive work environment. Implementing strategies to reduce excessive workload and create job security can improve overall employee performance.
