Abstract

Muhamad Yusuf (2026). This explanatory study examines the effect of rewards and motivation on work performance, with work discipline as a mediating variable among Satintelkam personnel at the Tuban Police Headquarters. The research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 34 respondents, and the data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The study aimed to test and analyze the direct effect of rewards on personnel work performance and work discipline, the direct effect of motivation on personnel work performance and work discipline, and the direct effect of work discipline on personnel work performance. In addition, this study examined the indirect effects of rewards and motivation on work performance through work discipline as a mediating variable. The results show that rewards have a direct but insignificant effect on personnel work performance, while rewards have a direct and significant effect on work discipline. Motivation also has a direct but insignificant effect on personnel work performance, yet it significantly affects work discipline. Furthermore, work discipline has a direct and significant effect on work performance. Rewards and motivation also have significant indirect effects on personnel work performance mediated by work discipline.
