Abstract

In the context of business law, labor law holds a highly significant role as it serves as a regulatory instrument governing the relationship between the workforce and business actors in order to achieve justice, rights protection, and legal certainty in the workplace. This study examines several key topics, including the concept of business law in the realm of labor, the legal foundations of labor law in Indonesia, wage mechanisms and the improvement of workers' welfare, employment relations between employers and employees, the substance of employment agreements, occupational safety and health (OSH) aspects, as well as the government's function in providing protection for workers. The approach applied in this research is a literature study, conducted by reviewing various regulations, academic references, and scientific publications in the field of labor.The findings of this discussion reveal that labor law plays a crucial role in defining the rights and obligations of both parties workers and employers alike through legitimate employment contracts, a fair remuneration system, and the adequate implementation of OSH standards. On the other hand, the government also takes part in formulating policies, carrying out supervisory functions, providing social security, and facilitating the resolution of conflicts in industrial relations. With the consistent and effective enforcement of labor law, it is hoped that a conducive and harmonious work climate will be established, the improvement of workers' living standards will be guaranteed, and the sustainable growth of the business world will ultimately be realized.
