Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting economic growth and job creation. In facing increasingly intense competition, MSMEs need to implement business ethics as a strategy to enhance their competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of business ethics in MSMEs and its contribution to improving business competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of relevant scientific sources. The findings reveal that the application of business ethics, including honesty, responsibility, transparency, and fairness in business operations, can enhance customer trust and strengthen business reputation. Furthermore, consistent ethical practices foster positive relationships with customers and business partners, supporting long-term business sustainability. The implementation of business ethics also serves as a differentiating factor that adds value to MSMEs in a competitive market environment. Therefore, business ethics functions not only as a moral guideline but also as an effective strategy for improving competitiveness and ensuring the sustainable growth of MSMEs.
