This research aims to examine the influence of workload and competence on employee performance at CV. Aliya Hijab. Employee performance is a crucial factor in achieving organizational goals because it reflects the effectiveness and productivity of human resources in carrying out their responsibilities. Workload and competence are considered important factors that may affect how employees perform their duties and contribute to organizational success. This study employed a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification research designs. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 97 employees of CV. Aliya Hijab, who were selected as research respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The results indicate that workload has a negative but statistically insignificant effect on employee performance, suggesting that variations in workload do not significantly determine employee performance levels in the company. Therefore, the first hypothesis is rejected. In contrast, competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that employees with higher levels of knowledge, skills, and abilities tend to demonstrate better work performance. Thus, the second hypothesis is accepted. Simultaneously, workload and competence explain 23.3% of the variance in employee performance, while the remaining 76.7% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. These findings highlight the importance of developing employee competence to improve organizational performance.
