Abstract

Burnout is a psychological issue that can reduce work quality and employee well-being. This study aims to analyze the effects of work-life balance and social support on burnout among employees at PT Sum Hing Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey design, with employees of PT Sum Hing Indonesia as respondents. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression, along with tests of classical assumptions as prerequisites for the analysis. The results indicate that work-life balance and social support collectively play a role in explaining variations in burnout. Partially, work-life balance has a negative effect on burnout, and social support also has a negative effect on burnout, indicating that the better the work-life balance and the higher the perceived social support among employees, the lower the tendency for burnout. These findings underscore the importance of organizational strategies in strengthening policies that support work-life balance and fostering a supportive work climate through support from supervisors and coworkers. This study provides practical implications for PT Sum Hing Indonesia to develop burnout prevention programs through healthier workload management, strengthening social support, and employee well-being interventions.
