This study aims to measure the level of knowledge among housewives regarding microeconomic concepts and analyze its implications for household financial management. The research was conducted at Pasar Senggol, Makassar City, using a case study approach that involved in-depth interviews and quantitative surveys. The findings reveal that most housewives have limited understanding of basic microeconomic concepts, such as supply, demand, and resource management. However, there is a significant positive correlation between the level of microeconomic knowledge and the effectiveness of household financial management, particularly in budgeting and saving practices. The conclusions of this study highlight the importance of economic education for housewives in enhancing family welfare and domestic economic stability. In addition, this study also revealed that housewives who have a higher level of microeconomic knowledge tend to be more capable of making rational financial decisions, such as comparing prices, managing priority needs, and avoiding waste. Education, experience, and access to economic information are supporting variables that influence the level of understanding.
