Pelatihan Pembuatan Kerupuk Ikan Patin untuk Meningkatkan Pendapatan Masyarakat Desa Trimo Rejo

Abstract

A training program on making catfish crackers was held in Trimo Rejo Village with the aim of increasing community income through new skills in processing catfish. The local community faces the problem of limited diversification of processed fish products, resulting in unstable income. In addition, a lack of knowledge regarding processing techniques and product marketing is a major obstacle (Asyari, 2020; Widiastuti, 2021). This training consists of two sessions: theory and practice. In the theory session, participants are provided with knowledge regarding the nutritional benefits of patin fish and an understanding of the market. The practical session focuses on cracker-making techniques, ranging from ingredient selection and the production process to marketing strategies (Budi, 2019; Hartono, 2018). It is hoped that through this training, participants will be able to produce high-quality catfish crackers that can be successfully marketed. The objective of this initiative is to create catfish cracker products that can be sold in local markets and increase participants’ household income. Evaluation results indicate that after completing the training, participants successfully produced crackers meeting high-quality standards. Three months after the training, there was a 30% increase in participants’ average income (Zulkarnain & Sari, 2019). Overall, this training not only provided new skills to the community but also contributed to the improvement of the local economy. For future activities, it is recommended that the program be expanded
