Abstract

Digital technology has transformed business practices, entrepreneurial activities, and career preferences among younger generations. The development of digital platforms, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and automation has established a new entrepreneurial paradigm in which technological capabilities are essential. Technopreneurship has consequently emerged as a relevant career alternative, combining entrepreneurial orientation with digital technology and innovation. This study aims to describe and analyze Millennials’ and Generation Z’s perceptions of Technopreneurship as a viable career choice. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed through an online survey distributed using Google Forms. The study involved 100 respondents from diverse demographic backgrounds. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency distributions, percentages, mean scores, and predefined assessment categories. The findings indicate that respondents generally perceive Technopreneurship positively, with an overall mean score of 3.06, categorized as high. The strongest indicator concerns the perceived usefulness of artificial intelligence and automation in improving efficiency and saving time in digital business processes. However, the intention to establish a technology-based business in the near future remains at a moderate level, indicating a gap between positive perceptions and practical readiness. These findings suggest that digital familiarity provides a foundation for technopreneurial careers. Nevertheless, readiness should be strengthened through digital literacy training, entrepreneurial education, managerial competency development, and improved access to supportive business ecosystems and startup funding.
