Abstract

The instability of global economic conditions has an impact on the real value of salaries received by employees. Spikes in inflation, trade wars that have the potential to trigger a global recession, and the use of artificial intelligence have all contributed to the global economic cycle. This study is a literature review study that aims to determine the relationship between salary amounts and employee work motivation in several developed and developing countries, including Indonesia. The data in this study were obtained by comparing research results with similar topics regarding the relationship between salary amounts and employee work motivation with research subjects from different sectors, namely logistics, education, health, food and beverages (F&B), and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The data processing process began with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that salary amounts influence the work motivation of employees and staff from various potential work sectors in sampled country. Therefore, it is very important for business owners, foundations, and the government to pay attention to the balance between salary amounts and employee workloads
