Abstract

This research is motivated by the fluctuations in financial performance at PT Argo Pantes Tbk, a textile company, which requires an analysis of the factors that influence the company's profitability. This study aims to determine the effect of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), and Current Ratio (CR) on Return on Assets (ROA) for the 2018–2025 period. The research method used is a quantitative method with a secondary data approach obtained from the company's financial statements. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS, and classical assumption tests and hypothesis tests are also conducted. The results show that Net Profit Margin has a positive and significant effect on Return on Assets, while Total Asset Turnover and Current Ratio have a negative and partially insignificant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables do significantly influence ROA. However, the coefficient of determination value shows that the independent variable is able to explain 67.6% of the variation in ROA. Thus, Net Profit Margin is the most dominant factor in influencing company profitability. The implications of this research show the importance of improving operational efficiency to increase company profits.
