Abstract

The Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) in the mining sector requires an integrated technical approach to ensure economic self-reliance. This study aims to evaluate the optimization of the real income pillar through the implementation of a layer chicken farming initiative in Bitahan Baru Village, developed through a synergy between PT Bhumi Rantau Energi and BUMDes Mandiri. The program engineering began with the design of supporting facilities and infrastructure and the management of an initial population of 500 laying hens, which was systematically expanded to 1,500 chickens in 2023. Operational management based on the Karang Taruna business unit was proven to significantly increase Village Original Revenue (PADes) from IDR 45,705,750 to IDR 54,846,900. A Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) score of 91.77, along with the achievement of the national Satyalancana Aditya Karya Mahatva Yodha award, confirms the effectiveness of the system developed. The integration of the livestock sector has become a key driver of the Bitahan Baru Agrotourism area, leading the village to receive the ProKlim award in the Lestari category. The success of this model has established it as a pilot project for Tapin Regency to facilitate the replication of integrated agriculture-based economic self-reliance. The findings demonstrate that standardized management and measurable infrastructure development can create a productive ecosystem that is technically, economically, and environmentally resilient.
