This research is motivated by the fact that the development of student potential can be addressed through educational activities in schools. Education itself can be defined as a life process aimed at developing a person's full potential—both cognitive, emotional, and psychological—so that they become fully educated individuals. The main objective of this research is to determine how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum improves student potential at the elementary school level. To achieve this objective, this research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical method through a literature review. The data collection process involves library research activities, including collecting relevant references, reading, recording, reviewing, and processing various research materials related to curriculum implementation and student potential development. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires learning objectives that guide students to develop critical thinking skills in solving problems. In addition, students are encouraged to become creative and innovative learners, possess good communication and collaboration skills, and develop strong character values. Therefore, the Merdeka Curriculum can support more meaningful, flexible, and student-centered learning at schools.
