Abstract

Tablasupa Village in Depapre District, Jayapura Regency, covers an indicative area of 1,662.34 ha and is home to 1,281 people. The village is exposed to slope instability, rockfall, surface erosion, land fires, coastal abrasion, tidal flooding, and local flooding along the Amai River, yet this hazard information had not been compiled in an integrated spatial database that the village government and residents could use. This community service activity aimed to identify the physical conditions and hazards of Tablasupa, compile a village-scale disaster risk map, and educate residents on reading and using the map. The activity was carried out in four stages: data updating and problem validation; participatory mapping through transect walks with village officials, the village consultative body, customary leaders, and youth; GIS-based spatial analysis using the risk formula of BNPB Regulation No. 2 of 2012; and validation, socialization, and education. The results show that 766.34 ha (46.1%) of the village falls into the high multi-hazard risk class, 540.26 ha (32.5%) into the moderate class, and 355.74 ha (21.4%) into the low class. High-risk zones include settlements at the foot of steep slopes threatened by rockfall and stilt houses on the active shoreline. About 15 village representatives corrected the draft map, and the final A0 map was displayed at the village office as a shared reference for evacuation routes and risk-based spatial planning.
