Background: Community-based elderly health services depend on cadres for screening and recording, while manual documentation may delay recapitulation and follow-up. DESILA (Digital Elderly Self Health Screening Application) was introduced to support digital elderly health screening. Objective: To improve cadres’ digital literacy and practical ability to use DESILA for elderly health screening. Methods: The community service activity was conducted in Karyamulya, Kesambi, Cirebon, using an adult-learning and participatory approach comprising educational explanation, live demonstration, guided simulation, troubleshooting, and peer teaching. Cadres practiced account login, demographic and health-data entry, functional assessment, and interpretation of automated screening outputs. Results: Initial obstacles included limited familiarity with health applications, full phone storage, and forgotten e-mail passwords. Hands-on mentoring enabled participants to access the DESILA dashboard and practice entering case data. The application automatically displayed body mass index and functional-assessment scores and generated a red warning with referral advice when a simulated blood pressure of 160/90 mmHg was entered. Peer teaching helped senior cadres participate more confidently. Conclusion: Guided, practice-oriented DESILA training was feasible for cadres and supported their readiness to adopt digital elderly health screening. Quantitative pre-post evaluation and post-training implementation monitoring are recommended.
