Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Ecoenzym dalam Budidaya Hortikultura Urban Farming Untuk Mendukung Ketahanan Pangan Keluarga pada KWT Kota Pala Desa Dauh Peken Tabanan

The Women Farmers Group Kota Pala in Dauh Peken Village, Tabanan Regency, has developed urban farming activities and produces eco-enzyme from household organic waste. However, the utilization of eco-enzyme in horticultural cultivation has not been fully optimized due to limited knowledge and technical skills among group members regarding appropriate dosage, application techniques, and the benefits of eco-enzyme for plant growth. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of KWT members in utilizing eco-enzyme as a liquid organic fertilizer and as a sustainable input for environmentally friendly horticultural cultivation. The program was conducted in May 2026 and involved 20 members of KWT Kota Pala. The methods included a preliminary survey, educational sessions, hands-on training, demonstrations of eco-enzyme application on pak choi, mustard greens, and lettuce, followed by mentoring and evaluation. Program effectiveness was assessed through pre-test and post-test results, participants’ practical skills in applying eco-enzyme, and their level of participation throughout the activities. The results indicated that participants’ knowledge of eco-enzyme utilization increased from 52.50% to 88.00%, while their application skills improved from 41.30% to 86.50%. A total of 60 horticultural plants were used as demonstration plots, with a technology adoption success rate of 90.00%. The program successfully improved the capacity of KWT members to implement horticultural cultivation based on local resources and supported the development of sustainable urban farming to strengthen household food security.
