Membangun Kepedulian Lingkungan Siswa melalui Kegiatan Ecoprint dengan Memanfaatkan Tanaman Lokal

The limited use of the school environment as a learning medium has resulted in insufficient efforts to instill environmental care attitudes among students. This activity aimed to address the low utilization of the environment as a learning resource while improving students’ environmental awareness at SDN 98 Kota Utara, Gorontalo. One innovation that can be implemented is the introduction and training of ecoprint making by utilizing plants that are already available in the school environment. Ecoprint making serves not only as an educational activity but also as a medium for developing students’ creativity, refining their fine motor and artistic skills, and instilling important values such as love for nature, responsibility for environmental preservation, and sustainable thinking from an early age. This activity was carried out from May 22 to June 19 and consisted of preparation, implementation, and program evaluation stages. The implementation methods included socialization about ecoprint and hands-on training. The participants consisted of teachers and students of SDN 98 Kota Utara, Gorontalo. Program evaluation was conducted through response questionnaires completed by the teachers. The assessment of the training materials, methods, and benefits received very good scores, with an overall average of 90%, reflecting a high level of teacher satisfaction. Nevertheless, several suggestions indicated the need to increase teachers’ involvement in direct practice, considering that during the training, teachers only served as facilitators and observers, while the hands-on activities were carried out by the students.
