Abstract

This webinar aims to increase youth understanding of the importance of self-control, emotions, and behavior through the practice of Ramadan fasting as a form of community empowerment. The background of this activity is based on the challenges faced by the younger generation in the modern era, such as low self-control due to the influence of instant lifestyles and technological developments. The method used in this activity is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes utilizing the potential of participants. The activity was carried out as a webinar involving youth from Sidomulyo Village, Krian District, Sidoarjo Regency, with data collection techniques through observation and discussion during the activity. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the meaning of fasting, which is not only a ritual, but also a means of character building, increasing discipline, time management, and strengthening social empathy. Participants also showed a more positive attitude change in controlling emotions and behavior in everyday life. Thus, this activity can be concluded as an effective effort to empower the community based on religious values ​​in shaping the character of youth who are more disciplined, responsible, and have good self-control.
