Abstract

limited competence of teachers in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in learning has become a major issue hindering the optimization of Smart Education in school environments. The purpose of this activity is to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in implementing AI through a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach. The implementation method was carried out through participatory training, which included material delivery, hands-on practice, and mentoring in developing AI-based learning projects. The results of the activity indicate that the training was conducted successfully and actively participated in by teachers from various subject areas. The average pre-test score of participants was 57.3, which increased to 81.7 in the post-test, showing an improvement of 24.4 points. Participants were also able to develop innovative AI-based learning projects relevant to their respective subjects. In addition, there was an increase in digital literacy and teachers’ confidence in using technology in the learning process. This activity also encouraged the creation of more interactive and adaptive learning tailored to students’ needs. Therefore, this training is effective in supporting the implementation of Smart Education in school environments.
