This community service program aims to empower coastal women in Tesabela Village, West Kupang District, by utilizing seaweed and mangrove waste to produce environmentally friendly liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The main problem faced by the community is the abundance of unused seaweed processing waste and the farmers’ heavy reliance on chemical fertilizers, which deteriorate soil quality and coastal ecosystems. The program was conducted in November 2024 and involved 25 female participants organized in coastal processing groups. The implementation methods included awareness sessions on waste potential, practical training in producing LOF using Sargassum, Ulva, and mangrove leaves through EM4-based fermentation for 21–28 days, and mentoring to evaluate the outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ technical skills and environmental awareness; 80% of them were able to produce LOF independently, with pH levels of 5.5–6.0 and increased nutrient contents (NPK by 0.4–0.8%). Field trials on vegetable plants indicated 25–30% higher vegetative growth compared to untreated controls. In addition to enhancing technical capacity, the program fostered the establishment of women-led microenterprises managing local LOF production and marketing. Overall, the initiative contributed to strengthening household economies, reducing organic waste, and promoting a sustainable circular economy model based on local coastal resources.
